Detailed Town Planning Schemes

In order to achieve planned development , GCDA has taken up a number of Detailed Town Planning Schemes in its jurisdictional area within the frame work of the Regional Development Plan and the Structure Plan for Cochin. The Government had sanctioned 24 Detailed Town Planning Schemes (DTPS) which are under different stages of implementation.

The sanctioned DTP schemes can be classified broadly into the following categories ie, Road Development Schemes, Commercial Development Schemes, Composite Area Development Schemes, Environmental Improvement Scheme and City Centre Development Schemes.
